Outside Sales Representative - Birmingham
About the role
The Outside Sales Representative works cooperatively with other members of the team to introduce and sell products and services to new and established customers as well as service existing accounts. Responsibilities include identifying, contacting, and qualifying new prospects, responding to customer calls, tracking and following up on existing quotes, assisting with project execution tasks, preparing and submitting activity reports and forecasts, updating and maintaining the CRM database, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and qualify new prospects.
- Respond to customer calls.
- Track and follow up on existing quotes.
- Assist with project execution tasks such as answering questions about administration, delivery, or invoicing.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate frequently with the customer.
- Prepare and submit activity reports and forecasts as requested.
- Update and maintain the CRM database to include customer account contact names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, past and future sales activities, and any and all notes regarding the account’s business opportunity.
- Maintain all prospective customer data in the CRM Database and use the information contained therein as the sole source for prospective customers and interactions.
- Meet revenue quotas as assigned.
- Stays within prescribed budgetary cost requirements.
- Participates in all safety meetings.
- Drives a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
