Job Description

As an Outside Sales Representative for Wisconsin Stamping, you will be responsible for all functions related to developing and maintaining customer relationships. This includes aggressively identifying, generating, and developing new customer opportunities to sell our metal fabrication and fastener services to with the full support of internal staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for penetrating new accounts and maximize sales to current customers, e.g. prospecting, cold calling, identifying key decision makers and determining buying criteria
  • Effectively develop and manage your sales plan by setting daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives, prioritizing tasks, utilizing your time effectively and efficiently
  • Build trust and credibility with clients by learning and engaging the customer to understand their needs and our value proposition, e.g. strategic and investigative questioning
  • Aid your customer with finding solutions that will help them achieve their goals and added value
  • Establish relationships with customers to gain confidence in Wisconsin Stamping as their preferred source for our products
  • Education and influence customers on the products we supply
  • Aid customers in problem solving issues for difficult applications
  • Maintain customer and internal communication
  • Solicit quotations, negotiate and present ideas to gain new business
  • Able and willing to locally travel 60-70% of the time

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a Business related field or relevant experience in the Manufacturing Industry
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience in manufacturing, preferably self-directed
  • Self-motivated and takes personal ownership
  • Results oriented and drives continuous improvement
  • Relationship-driven sales professional with a positive attitude
  • Pioneered time/customer management skills with verifiable sales success
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, e.g. speaking clearly, listening attentively, building rapport
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Excel, MS Windows, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook

This is a full time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
