Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory sales plan
- Research leads, industries, and markets for potential product use
- Outbound phone calls to set up virtual, and in-person visits with leads and customers
- Continuously pursue new business opportunities/quotes, and build a strong sales pipeline
- Develop a complete understanding of all products and services provided by Wieland Metal Services
- Partner with inside sales to provide accurate sales quotes for leads and key accounts
- Achieve agreed upon sales booking & billing targets for assigned accounts/territory
- Carefully coordinate with management, inside sales, operations, and supply chain on material needs and sales order fulfillment
- Effectively use CRM tools to keep track of customer relationships and provide detailed information regarding accounts
- Identify new and existing competitors and consistently monitor their activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field preferred, but not required
- 3-5 years of sales experience preferred, preferably in metal sales
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics
- Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication
- Strong Computer skills, including Excel, ERP and CRM software. Oracle and Salesforce preferred
- The individual must be a self-motivated and enterprising person with excellent organizational, time management, and negotiating skills
- Must be able to handle several tasks at one time and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency
- Teamwork, strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are necessary
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Previous experience managing a territory and growing sales volume & margin is expected
- Frequent travel in the territory is required. Including in-person sales calls, customer entertainment, overnight stays and participation in various regional/national trade shows and sales meetings. On rare occasion weekend travel may be required
