Job Duties
- Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products.
- Generate sales to new customers and sell additional products to existing customers.
- Collaborate with leadership, team members, and suppliers in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
- Aid customers with product selection and application by utilizing knowledge, internal specialists, and supplier representatives.
- Identify customer objectives, requirements, and preferences to present a unique solution tailored to their business objectives and needs.
- Communicate with customers and team members for product quotations and provide ongoing communication throughout the customer's purchasing lifecycle.
- Resolve payment issues promptly with management, credit, and customers.
- Gather and report information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends to management.
- Participate in professional development to improve selling skills and maintain technical capabilities.
- Champion digital tools, customer solutions, and services to gain a competitive advantage.
- Coordinate sales calls with vendors to introduce and demonstrate products, identify customer needs, and promote product and service solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales or electrical industry experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High School or GED.
- Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs.
- Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influence.
- Product and application knowledge essential.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and relevant ERP systems and Customer Relation Management Tools (CRM).
