About the Role
Immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative to sell construction, agriculture, and outdoor equipment to agricultural, construction, and consumer customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed defined sales performance objectives (revenue, margin, turnover).
- Follow up on leads and referrals promptly and effectively; spend the majority of time with customers in the office or field.
- Develop and maintain specific targets and processes for customer acquisition, development, and retention, including focus on geographic territories.
- Conduct professional sales presentations and equipment demos, ensuring customers receive accurate and pertinent information.
- Ensure excellent after-sales experience, including delivery and initial customer experience.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and professionally, including trade appraisals, contracts, warranties, and sales tickets; provide high-quality, timely pictures of equipment for internet postings.
- Assist other sales representatives with trade valuations and product information.
- Maintain technical proficiency in all sales tools, including internal information systems and vendor sites.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured by surveys and ongoing contact; resolve customer issues effectively.
- Fulfill all customer commitments, including information requests, product delivery, or tasks delegated to other employees (e.g., parts, service).
- Maintain good communication within the location and with other locations/employees.
- Keep a clean office, desk, and company vehicle; assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility.
- Assist with literature racks and showroom displays as needed.
- Comply with all trucking regulations, vehicle inspections, and mileage logs.
- Continuously learn and apply new skills, strategies, and techniques; maintain a high level of product, market, and industry knowledge, including equipment and precision farming.
- Work with supervisors on an ongoing development plan, including instructor-led and web-based training.
- Assist with store-led marketing activities, events, and promotions.
- Maintain a professional and contributory status in the community.
