Expectations IPS is seeking a Sales Representative – Power Systems to develop customer relationships and drive profitable growth within an assigned territory. This role will promote IPS power management solutions, including electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, engineering services, testing, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and field services. The Sales Representative will identify customer requirements, develop sales strategies, coordinate technical resources, present proposals, and ensure annual sales objectives are achieved. Key Responsibilities Establish and achieve annual sales, margin, and account-growth objectives within the assigned territoryDevelop new accounts while strengthening relationships with existing customersSchedule sales calls and meet with customers to understand their power-system needs, reliability goals, and operational challengesPromote IPS power management products and services, including switchgear, breakers, transformers, testing, maintenance, engineering, and field servicesIdentify planned outages, emergency requirements, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and maintenance opportunitiesCoordinate with engineering, operations, estimating, procurement, and field-service teams to develop customer solutionsSupport preparation of technical and commercial proposalsPresent proposals and clearly communicate scope, value, pricing, schedule, and service capabilitiesConsult with management on pricing, specifications, warranties, commercial terms, and service adaptationsDevelop strategic account and territory plans based on customer needs, market conditions, and sales performanceMaintain an active opportunity pipeline and provide accurate forecasts and activity reportsMonitor competitor activity, market trends, and competitive bid situationsAttend trade shows, conferences, customer events, and industry meetingsCoordinate the handoff of awarded work to operational teamsMaintain technical and commercial knowledge through company and industry trainingTravel throughout the assigned territory as required Required Competencies Strong customer-development, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skillsTechnical aptitude related to electrical power distribution systemsAbility to understand customer specifications, equipment requirements, and project scopeStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to develop and present effective customer proposalsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsStrong organization, prioritization, and time-management skillsAbility to work across sales, engineering, operations, and field-service teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systemsAbility to analyze sales data and take appropriate actionKnowledge of competitors and competitive bidding environmentsAbility to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be consideredThree or more years of successful technical or industrial sales experience preferredExperience selling power-system equipment or services preferredFamiliarity with switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, electrical testing, power-system studies, maintenance, and field services preferredExperience serving industrial, commercial, utility, data center, or infrastructure customers is a plusUnderstanding of CRM, ERP, or operating-system processes preferred Benefits Paid Time Off401(k) Employer MatchBonus or Sales Incentive OpportunitiesTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental, and Vision PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramAnd more IPS is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
