About the role

Outside Sales Reps play a critical role in the success of our business as the first line of contact to our customers. The target is to drive contractor demand, provide industry-leading product knowledge, build excellent dealer relationships, ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers within an assigned sales territory.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrate the functions, benefits, and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Perform product knowledge training for dealers based on their needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Submit monthly mileage and expense reports.
  • Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 years of outside sales experience required.
  • Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook.

Work Conditions

  • Must be able to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Long periods of driving.
  • May spend time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Work environments include jobsites, warehouses, and offices, both inside and outside, with long periods of standing.
  • Direct interaction with customers.
  • Lifting capability of up to 50 lbs.
