Outside Sales Representative

About the role

As a Bilingual Outside Food Sales Representative based in Rockwall, TX, you will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to help customers achieve their goals. You will work within an assigned territory to pursue new customers, deepen existing relationships, and manage sales territory activities.

Responsibilities

• Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within your territory
• Identify and research prospective customers
• Develop sales strategies highlighting Gordon Food Service products, services, values, and solutions and present them to prospects
• Visit customers weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly to conduct business reviews and determine needs
• Provide ongoing training on Gordon Food Service product offerings
• Identify opportunities within existing customers’ businesses where Gordon Food Service can add value
• Balance new‑customer acquisition with deepening existing relationships
• Coordinate visits to prospective and existing customers
• Communicate order status and processing updates to customers

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish (required)
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or culinary certificate (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience
• Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
• Ability to obtain food safety certification
