Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by Ganahl Lumber to current and new clientele in a business-to-business setting.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
• Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs
• Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
• Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise during the sales lifecycle
• Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
• Provides periodic account sales forecasts
• Annual business expansion is expected which includes: New accounts, New product sales, New partnerships

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR At least five years of related experience required
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints is preferred
• Construction fundamentals from site to rooftop is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times
• Must be able to travel

Other Considerations

• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English a plus
• Must have your own reliable transportation
• Related industry experiences is preferred
