About the Role
Fence Outlet specializes in one-stop shopping for all fencing needs and accessories, maintaining a large inventory of products available daily. We serve both do-it-yourself customers and offer full-service professional installation. Established in 1994, we are growing and seek a Residential Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Responsibilities
- Counsel, arrange, and sell all aspects of PVC, wood, chain link, and aluminum fencing installations to customers, focusing on customer satisfaction and care.
- Manage appointment schedules and visit prospective customers.
- Call clients to assess needs and assist in selecting fencing and materials.
- Determine proper fence placement following HOA, city, and county ordinances.
- Measure installation locations, create client proposals/quotes, and review them with clients.
- Ensure timely transfer of installation paperwork to the office.
- Work independently with a flexible schedule while keeping appointment times.
- Coordinate installations with the installation crew, manager, permit technician, and finance department.
- Assist in collecting payments from clients as needed.
- Support layout with the installation crew at the site when necessary.
- Collect all pertinent documents from clients related to fence installation.
- Follow up with clients as needed.
- Maintain a clean driving record and use professional judgment while representing the company.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferably 2-3 years of sales experience, ideally in fencing or industrial sales (not required).
- 3-5 years of prior outside sales experience in a similar role.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and email.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to propose viable solutions to customer problems.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to continuously see and frequently stand, walk, communicate orally, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.
- Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine sound discriminations.
- Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to perform repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing/pulling on a frequent basis.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and drive to/from work locations.
- Must be able to travel as required for company business.
- Must be available to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay
$70,800.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
