Outside Sales Representative

Major Responsibilities

• Counsel, arrange, and sell all aspects of fence installations for PVC, Wood, Chain Link, and Aluminum fencing to customers.
• Meet the needs of customers through customer satisfaction and care.
• Manage appointment schedules, visit prospective customers, call clients to ascertain needs, assist with fence and material selections, measure fence installation locations, create client proposals/quotes, and review with clients.
• Determine proper fence placement according to HOA guidelines and local ordinances and policies.
• Timely transfer install paperwork to the office.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, keep set appointment times with clients, coordinate installs with installation crew, installation manager, permit technician, and finance department, assist in collecting payments from clients as needed, and assist in layout with installation crew at site locations.
• Follow up with clients as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferably 2-3 years’ sales experience in Fencing / Industrial.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office-based programs, including email.
• 3-5 years prior experience in a like or similar outside sales role.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to continuously see, frequently stand, walk, give and receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 100 lbs., regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs., do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and push/pull.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory/clean driving record.
• Must be able to travel as required for company business.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
