Outside Sales Representative

Major Responsibilities

• Counsel, arrange, and sell all aspects of fence installations for PVC, Wood, Chain Link, and Aluminum fencing to customers.
• Manage appointment schedules and visit prospective customers to ascertain needs and assist with fence and material selections.
• Determine proper fence placement according to HOA guidelines and local ordinances.
• Create client proposals/quotes and review them with the client.
• Timely transfer install paperwork to the office.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining set appointment times with clients.
• Coordinate fence installations with installation crews, managers, permit technicians, and finance departments.
• Absorb and collect payments from clients as needed.
• Assist in the layout process with installation crews at the site location.
• Follow up with clients as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferably 2-3 years' sales experience in Fencing / Industrial, though not mandatory.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office-based programs, including email.
• 3-5 years prior experience in a like or similar outside sales role.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to continuously see, frequently stand, walk, give and receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 100 lbs., regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs., and perform repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing/pulling.
• Must have a continuous clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license.
• Travel as required for company business.
• Work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
