Outside Sales Representative
About the role
Empire Today is looking for driven, energetic sales professionals to meet face-to-face with customers in their homes and help them find the best flooring products. You’ll work with pre-qualified leads (customers who have already called Empire for an in-home estimate) generally within a 1-hour radius, and leverage the strength of a well-known brand to generate additional income through referrals and prospecting.
This is a 100% commission + commission bonus opportunity. Outside Sales Consultants on average earn $50k–$70k the first year, with top performers earning well over $100k. Earnings are uncapped, and commissions are paid weekly.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home flooring estimates for customers who have requested appointments
- Generate a minimum of 2 self-sourced installed sales per month (paid at higher commission rates)
- Attend in-person and virtual sales meetings and training sessions
- Be available for evening and weekend appointments
- Deliver excellent customer service using electronic tablets and measuring devices during presentations
- Present professionally in Empire-branded apparel
- Drive locally to customer homes within your territory (vehicle must accommodate flooring sample boards)
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle with space for flooring sample boards
- Ability to meet minimum sales targets (2 self-generated installed sales per month)
- Availability for evening and weekend appointments
- Professional appearance and demeanor, including wearing Empire-branded apparel
- Comfort using electronic tablets and measuring devices for sales presentations

Pay
