We’re searching for an Outside Sales Professional to represent the company in a territory encompassing the Southern California area.
Responsibilities
- Actively visit, develop, and maintain the relationship between the company and our customers.
- Keep a scheduled visit plan.
- Update weekly visit logs and engage in monthly sales calls.
- Promote and develop all facets of parts and service business with the customer.
- Maximize sales with the customer at the highest possible levels of profitability.
- Maximize the breadth of products that are sold by the Company.
- Assist the accounts receivable department in the collection of delinquent payments.
- Document all visits with customers in the Company CRM (Telenotes) system within 24 hours of the visit.
- Continuously educate yourself on all products sold by the Company.
- Train and master the business system skills needed to perform your tasks.
- Work with Parts leadership and Branch leadership to develop delivery schedules that maximize the delivery truck and ensure an outstanding level of service to our customers.
- Load and deliver parts to customers.
- Ensure all customer account information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory counts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in sales.
- Proven outside sales experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Mechanical or technical aptitude (bonus if you understand transportation equipment).
- A creative, problem-solving mindset.
- Computer skills in ERP systems.
- Ability to navigate Excel and Google Sheets.

Pay
Base salary plus uncapped commission. This territory is capable of producing up to a six-figure income, with a successful candidate potentially earning $60,000 to $125,000 per year.

Schedule
The position requires extensive daily travel with overnight stays possible as required by the company.
Work Environment
The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment is required. For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
Physical Demands
- Sit or stand as needed.
- Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
- Proper lifting techniques required.
- Lifting, loading, and securing parts.
- Loading parts using forklift and pallet jack.
Safety and Policy Practices
- Knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to the same while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Comply with company hazardous waste disposal procedures.
