About the role
This role involves selling replacement parts, fleet maintenance solutions, and related products to trucking companies, repair shops, dealerships, municipalities, and construction or agricultural fleets.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with fleet managers and repair shops.
- Calling on existing customers and prospecting for new business.
- Selling heavy-duty truck parts such as brakes, suspension, driveline, engine, transmission, cooling, and electrical components.
- Preparing quotes and following up on sales opportunities.
- Coinciding with inside sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Meting sales and revenue targets.
- Staying knowledgeable about truck models, aftermarket parts, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Experience in heavy-duty truck parts, diesel repair, or fleet maintenance.
- Outside sales or business development experience.
- Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Able to read parts catalogs and identify truck components.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
