About the Role

Commercial Roofing Outside Sales Representatives develop, manage, and maintain a client base for the Commercial Roofing Repair division. This role focuses on growing market share through client relationships, sales goals, and industry engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new accounts and manage existing customer relationships.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Provide consistent communication and promote company services.
  • Consult and specify roofing system repairs in compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in trade shows, expos, and marketing functions to increase market share.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, and account management.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM daily for account management, scheduling, proposal development, and sales activity tracking.
  • Use BOX to document roof conditions and develop repair proposals.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings, and manufacturer seminars for continuing education.
  • Estimate and assess existing roof conditions, including core cuts when applicable.
  • Provide operations team with necessary project information and support.
  • Assist with receivable duties for assigned accounts as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of B2B Outside Sales or Business Development experience; commercial roofing sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outgoing, energetic personality with a high degree of self-confidence.
  • Motivated, professional attitude with the ability to work independently.

Physical Demands

  • Remove, set up, and climb ladders to access roofs for evaluations.
  • Climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materials regularly.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Use abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly without fatigue.
  • Perform repetitive movements, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling.
  • Stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Environment

Work may be conducted at construction sites with exposure to varying temperatures (from below freezing to over 90°F) and rainy conditions.
