Role and Responsibilities
- Pursue new bid opportunities with existing accounts and prospective targets using a hunter methodology.
- Maintain both new and existing books of business while addressing clients' needs throughout the building process.
- Enable a culture where Arizona Appliance and Home Core values come to life.
- Establish and develop business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory.
- Create and secure pricing supports and upgrade options for bid packages, explaining product value.
- Stay current with industry trends and recommend changes in products, service, and policy based on evaluations and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer challenges by collaborating with internal departments, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Customize sales presentations to cater to potential builder/remodeler needs.
- Act as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and establishing personal networks with vendors and builders.
- Work closely with the Design Team to develop programs and provide tools for the design studio to achieve a successful selection process.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 1 - year experience in outside sales.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of sales process and dynamics.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Proficient in Outlook, MS Suite.
- Experience in reporting into a type of CRM daily.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- The ability to work from home on occasion (laptop provided).
- Excellent follow-through skills.
Preferred Skills
- Design experience in 2020.
- Previous experience in construction sales, house remodeling sales, kitchen sales, bathroom sales, or other in-home sales.
- May have to work some evenings for special customer and/or networking events.
- Requires occasional overnight and out-of-town manufacturer trainings.
- Occasionally may be required to carry and deliver spec books, cabinet, carpet, & tile samples, which can weigh from 10-50 lbs.
