About the role
The role involves owning a defined set of neighborhoods in Orlando, running our playbook which includes door-to-door prospecting, local relationship building, and appointment setting. The primary responsibilities include generating and converting residential painting projects through in-home consultations and consultative selling.
Responsibilities
- Own a set of Orlando neighborhoods and run our playbook: door-to-door prospecting, local relationship building, and appointment setting
- Have real conversations at the door, uncover project needs, and book on-site estimates
- Canvass assigned territory using provided branded material to gain exposure
- Shadow the owners on estimates to learn our consultation flow, pricing guardrails, and how we present options and close
- Over time, run your own in-home consultations: walk the property, scope the work, present proposals, and ask for the business in a consultative way
- Track and own your numbers – doors, conversations, estimates, jobs sold, revenue – in our simple sales OS (CRM + maps + scheduling)
- Be the face of Groovy Hues in your territory & build a local book of business: nurture repeat customers, generate referrals, and develop partnerships with realtors, property managers, and local businesses
Qualifications
- Have 3–4+ years of direct/field/outside sales with a clear track record (solar, roofing, windows, pest, alarms, home services, etc.)
- Are hungry and competitive – you set income goals and work backward into daily activity to hit them
- Are genuinely comfortable knocking doors, handling rejection, and staying positive from door 1 to door 80
- Know how to run a consultative sales conversation in the home: rapport, discovery, present options, handle objections, closing, and follow-up
- Like the idea of owning a territory long-term instead of bouncing from lead to lead with no structure
- Are coachable: you bring your sales skills but are willing to run our process, pricing, and brand standards
- Are disciplined with your time – you can manage your own schedule and territory without someone breathing down your neck
- Care about reputation and service, not just commission. You understand that in home services, how you treat customers today determines your pipeline next season
Requirements
- Currently live in the greater Orlando area or within ~45 minutes of core territories
- Able to work weekday evenings and some Saturdays (when homeowners are home)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and smartphone
- Comfortable with door-to-door prospecting and in-home consultations
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000 base salary + commission
- Uncapped commissions - structured so top performers can earn well into a 6-figure run-rate once ramped
