About the Role

The Outside Sales Representative (“OS”) sells products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clients, primarily away from store locations. This role focuses on building customer relationships, identifying new leads, and achieving sales goals at an acceptable margin.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to understand their product or service needs and suggests solutions.
  • Demonstrates product functions and utility based on customer needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and resolves post-sale issues.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers about new products, services, or enhancements.
  • Keeps detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, lost business, and relationship issues.
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Reads prints, creates material estimates, and sources special orders.
