About the role
Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking an experienced Project Consultant to join their growing team. Sunland is a leading asphalt solutions provider and general contractor known for delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and innovation to its customers.
Responsibilities
- Identifies new business opportunities, develops strong customer relationships, and sells pavement maintenance products and services.
- Manages customer accounts throughout the full lifecycle of each project-from initial contact through payment collection-ensuring customer needs are communicated effectively, projects run smoothly, and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Generates leads through cold calls, referrals, and trade associations.
- Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and industry partners.
- Identifies and recommends appropriate products/services the customer needs.
- Prepares and delivers accurate quotes, proposals, and product recommendations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts throughout the duration of the relationship. Assists with job set up, planning and execution, and attends pre-construction meetings with customers and production management.
- Maintains ongoing open lines of communication with customers. Communicates customer needs, project details, and timelines clearly to the production and operations teams.
- Maintains accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, proposals, and project details in CRM systems.
- Represents the company at trade shows, industry events, and other networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or a related field; experience in construction or pavement maintenance industries is a plus.
- Must possess strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess business acumen, critical thinking, and resiliency in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Pay
$65,000 - $125,000 per year
