About the role
We are seeking an Outside Salesperson to cover the New Orleans area. The primary responsibilities include establishing initial contact with prospective customers, identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer contacts, soliciting additional company involvement, providing follow-up contacts to ensure customer satisfaction, and offering advice in various technical and product capability areas.
Responsibilities
- Takes responsibility for identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Solicits new business opportunities on a routine basis for expansion of company involvement at customer locations.
- Develops and maintains customer contacts.
- Provides follow-up contacts to assure customer satisfaction and to provide required advice in various technical and product capability areas.
Requirements
- Industry and territory knowledge required for maximum potential.
- Ability to manage well-established existing customer relationships and prospect for future opportunities in trading areas served.
- College courses in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to access customer business locations.
- Must be able to operate an automobile.
