Outside Sales Masonry/Hardscapes - Port Jefferson

We are a large corporate industry leader in building supplies, employing over 800 friendly people across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. The Outside Sales Masonry/Hardscapes role in Port Jefferson focuses on generating new business and servicing existing customers through quality, knowledgeable, and dependable service.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales for new and existing customers.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and use hands‑on resources.
• Quote prices and credit terms.
• Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Estimate delivery dates for customers.
• Prepare reports of business transactions.
• Enter pertinent information into the CRM based on customer interaction.
• Track stock levels.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems.
• Attend trade shows as required.
• Collaborate with peer Outside Sales members as needed.
• Participate in training if you have transferable skills.

Qualifications

• Positive, professional, and courteous demeanor that represents the company well.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 3–5 years of related work experience/training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of database software.
• Masonry and hardscapes experience preferred.
• Experience reading architectural plans for takeoffs preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 with earnings potential up to $125,000, commensurate with experience.
