Responsibilities
- Growing sales with current contractor accounts and new customer opportunities
- Working with builders and their customers (property owners) through all stages of the project life cycle to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives
- Selling building material products including foundation materials, premium lumber, fasteners, engineered beams/trusses/panels/components, roofing, decking, siding and other products to complete the enclosed building structure
- Working closely with our specialty products sales teams to sell windows, doors, millwork, cabinetry, stair parts and more to complete the project
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience; residential home or construction industry preferred
Qualifications
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with architects and builders and be involved in projects at the concept and design stage
- Establish clear service expectations and consistently meet these expectations – from estimate through quote, product sourcing, order, delivery and return/credit processing
- Work effectively with estimators, inside sales coordinators, dispatch/delivery staff and other support professionals
