Outside Sales

Primary function is to drive all sales activities from lead generation through close in an assigned territory, execute the Company Marketing Plan, and achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, and long-term account goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare action plans by accounts and product line
• Search and follow-through on sales leads and new customers
• Identify and execute up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
• Establish rapport and build long-term, repeat customer relationships
• Provide product knowledge to assist customers in buying decisions
• Deliver timely and accurate competitive pricing on prospect applications
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing
• Gather competitive market and pricing information

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Self-management and supplier-relationship experience
• Knowledge of building materials and construction industry strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excel experience preferred
• 3–5 years of sales experience preferred
