Trading Company imports products mainly from Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China; with several thousand different SKUs under well-known labels such as Chaokoh, FOCO, Aroy-D, Pantainorasingh, and our own Three Deer Brand.
Most popular items include: jasmine rice, canned coconut beverages, coconut milk, ready to cook noodles, mung bean and frozen durian.
What You’ll Do
- Generating and qualifying leads and outreach: Identifying potential customers through various channels: cold calling, email, social media and face to face meetings.
- Assessing customer needs: understanding and evaluating needs and challenges of both new and existing customers
- Growing and maintaining enduring long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Conducting on-site visits to introduce new product lines, process orders, deliver product training, and ensure excellent customer support.
- Providing any product demonstration and presentation support to potential clients, highlighting the product’s benefits.
- Developing a strong business network by attending industry trade shows, conferences, and related events, by building relationships and creating sales opportunities.
- Weekly collaboration with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure that client needs are met.
- Working with the internal team to create sales proposals and contracts.
- Ensuring that sales data is accurately processed and managed within the company's sales CRM system.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports giving insight into sales activities and performance.
- Managing customer issues and expectations
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven sales experience in the food industry or related field, with a track record of exceeding goals and targets
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or 4 years relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications and CRM/Sales Management software.
- Ability to travel as required by the position.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin & Cantonese (verbal required; written a plus)
