Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire FLSA Status: Exempt Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm About the Role: Seeking a sharp, proactive Outside Processing Buyer to lead vendor operations for our specialized finishing processes. In this critical supply chain role, you will own the flow of parts through special processes like anodizing, heat treating, plating, and testing. You will work closely with internal teams to keep manufacturing moving smoothly without missing customer deadlines. In this fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will bridge the gap between internal production planning and our external supplier network. You will manage outside purchase orders, keep tight control of vendor lead times, and eliminate delivery bottlenecks. If you bring a strong sense of urgency, sharp ERP skills, and hands-on procurement experience, this team is looking for your expertise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Issue and manage outside processing purchase orders in ERP, ensuring accurate specifications and quality flow-downs. Priority-sequence jobs, build vendor schedules, and expedite parts at suppliers to protect production routings. Track work-in-process entering and exiting outside vendor facilities to avoid shop floor bottlenecks. Coordinate multi-step outside vendor operations, holding vendors accountable for promised delivery dates. Collaborate with Quality and Receiving to reconcile discrepancies, certification errors, and rejected material. Partner with Supply Chain leadership to forecast vendor capacity and expand qualified special process options. Qualifications: 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a high-precision manufacturing environment. Background buying outside processing or special services like anodizing, plating, heat treat, or NDT. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP purchase orders, production routings, and inventory workflows. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for managing order tracking, open vendor reports, and priority lists. Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, vendor certifications, and traceability requirements. Must be able to work 100% onsite in Buena Park, CA and meet U.S. Export Control compliance rules.
