Outside Parts Sales Rep

About the role

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an Outside Parts Sales Representative to join their team in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will expand Parts and Service sales, act as a liaison, and provide superior support to customers.

Responsibilities

• Visits and develops relationships with existing customers
• Identifies and establishes contact with potential new customers
• Attends industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with customers
• Generates and submits sales reports to management
• Communicates parts orders to counter people, advises on stock or emergency status, and ensures delivery dates are acceptable
• Reviews special orders with the Parts Manager and obtains approval
• Advises counter personnel on delivery instructions and follows up on orders
• Collaborates with service salespeople to coordinate service sales
• Turns in completed call reports, time sheets, and expense reports
• Updates customer records and adds new customers to mailing lists
• Attends training seminars when possible
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the company
• Maintains professional appearance
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• At least three (3) years' experience in automotive/parts counter experience and/or outside parts sales experience and/or service technical support experience
• High school diploma and/or relevant, related training
• MS Office specifically Word or Excel
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record meeting Company driving guidelines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
