Outside Operations Staff
About the role
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Full-Time Outside Operations Staff at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park features four major venues: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. This role involves participating in all aspects of event set-up and teardown, performing various duties to ensure facility operations, and providing general supervision over part-time staff.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the lot set-up and teardown process for events.
- Set up and tear down equipment such as cones, delineators, chain, barricades, signage, trash cans, and other traffic-related equipment.
- Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility, including loading/unloading delivery trucks and transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
- Assist with pre/post-event cleaning of operational equipment, such as washing, mopping, trash removal, and spot cleaning.
- Serve as a lead to Part-Time Parking staff for events.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment such as signage structures, barricades, golf carts, delineators, chain, podiums, etc.
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage of equipment and property, loss of property and equipment, and safety concerns promptly to Supervisor, Manager, and Director.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED and one to three months related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions.

- Work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long hours during events.
- Must be able to stretch and reach.
- Licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
- Ability to operate a sit-down Forklift preferred.

- Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.

- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to move around the facility;
- To stand for long hours during events;
- To talk and hear;
- Exposure to the elements (heat, rain, etc.);
- Strenuous physical duties, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing;
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs;
- Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day;
- Must be able to stretch and reach.
