Outside Account Representative
Southwire Company, LLC is one of North America’s largest wire and cable producers, manufacturing building wire and cable, utility products, metal-clad cable, portable and electronic cord products, OEM wire products, and engineered products. The company also supplies assembled products, contractor equipment, electrical components, hand tools, and jobsite power and lighting solutions, along with digital solutions including contractor planning, utility grid resiliency, and field services such as cable testing, rejuvenation, and replacement.
About the role
Southwire is seeking a Category Manager, eCommerce to drive the growth and execution of our online business, specifically on Amazon. This role will manage digital shelf performance, optimize product content, support assortment and category strategies, identify growth opportunities, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve the customer buying experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day category performance across key eCommerce customers and marketplaces, primarily Amazon.
- Analyze sales, traffic, conversion, content quality, search visibility, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
- Develop recommendations to improve category performance through assortment optimization, pricing strategies, promotions, and content enhancements.
- Lead digital shelf initiatives to improve product discoverability, conversion rates, and customer experience.
- Partner with Product Management and Marketing teams to create and maintain best-in-class product content, images, videos, A+ content, and enhanced brand experiences.
- Monitor online assortment, new item launches, product availability, ratings and reviews, and catalog health across retailer platforms.
- Support category reviews, business updates, and retailer meetings through preparation of insights, analytics, and performance reporting.
- Identify and resolve catalog issues including item setup errors, variation opportunities, missing attributes, duplicate listings, and content gaps.
- Utilize retailer reporting tools, marketplace analytics, and internal data to develop actionable business recommendations.
- Monitor marketplace trends, competitive activity, consumer behavior, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Support brand protection initiatives, authorized seller programs, and marketplace governance efforts when applicable.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of new product launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and KPI tracking for category performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for digital commerce best practices, customer experience, and online merchandising strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, category management, digital merchandising, account management, or online retail.
- Experience working with Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Seller Central, both 1P and 3P landscapes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets.
- Experience working with product catalogs, item setup processes, product content management, or PIM systems.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of digital shelf analytics, SEO, ratings and reviews, and online marketplace fundamentals is preferred.
