Outreach Worker
About the role
The primary responsibilities of this position include identifying and assisting individuals and families within Highland County who may qualify for services offered through Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. (HCCAO), but are currently underserved or not receiving assistance. The Outreach Worker will inform community members about available programs and help connect eligible individuals with services such as HEAP, Emergency Rent Assistance, Food Pantry services, Homeless Assistance, and Minor Needs Assistance. This position will utilize the OCEAN system and other client contact sources to identify potential clients and coordinate services. The Outreach Worker will also promote HCCAO, Inc. services within the community through outreach efforts, partnerships with other agencies, and participation in community events. Home visits may be conducted when appropriate to assist clients in accessing services.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in social services, outreach, or case management preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, are required.
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License, have reliable transportation, and maintain automobile liability insurance.

Pay
This full-time position is 40 hours per week.
Schedule
Primarily based at the Greenfield facility but may require travel to the Hillsboro facility and other locations throughout Highland County.
