Outpatient TMS Psychiatrist

About the role

LifeStance Health is adding TMS services to a New Jersey location and seeks a psychiatrist with a strong interest in TMS, a commitment to teamwork, and a focus on patient outcomes, quality care, and program growth. The role includes participating in TMS training (if needed), working in the Metrowest area and Weymouth offices, and contributing to the development and oversight of the TMS program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to develop TMS skills, if not already experienced
• Commit to at least two in‑person clinic days per week for mapping and remapping visits
• Conduct initial patient assessments (in person or via telehealth), confirm diagnoses, and document medical necessity using an AMD template and supporting forms
• Closely oversee the TMS technician, co‑sign daily treatment notes, and be readily available for clinical questions
• Monitor patient progress, adjust protocols as needed, and provide discharge summaries to the primary/referring psychiatric clinician
• Represent the TMS program to internal and external clinicians to educate and coordinate care
• Work in TMS offices located in the Metrowest area and Weymouth

Requirements

• BC/BE psychiatrist (board certified/eligible)
• Strong interest in TMS; experience valued but not required
• Commitment to teamwork and focus on patient outcomes, quality care, and program growth
• Willingness to engage in a mix of TMS and outpatient psychiatric clinic work or to provide primarily TMS services (part‑time option)
• Ability to provide at least two in‑person clinic days per week for full‑time positions
