About the role
As an Outpatient Therapy Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will see and maintain a small caseload of individual clients, complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments, person-centered treatment plans, clinical progress notes, and utilize assessment tools and ancillary therapy notes in alignment with 245i MN state standards for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Active participation and responsibility in building, growing, and maintaining caseload.
- Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community.
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings, attend weekly supervision, and trainings.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a master’s degree in either social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology (with the eventual license of LPCC, LICSW, LMFT).
- Candidates are completing a formal practicum or internship through their graduate program.
- Experience and ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
- Previous work or volunteer experience related to behavioral health is preferred (common examples are Independent Living Skills, Inpatient Mental Health, Behavioral Program or Residential Experience).

Pay
Total earnings for this position will include a monthly stipend of $1,250. Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE. Employees in these positions are W2.
