Outpatient Therapist - Part Time

Position Summary

The Outpatient Therapist will provide assessment and psychotherapy services in an office-based setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals affected by trauma, mental health conditions, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Experience working with youth and familiarity with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Substance Use Disorder are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Support clients in identifying barriers and developing strategies for success.
  • Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling (MSW, MA) required.
  • Licensure: LLPC, LPC, LLMSW, LMSW, or LLP with appropriate State of Michigan licensure.
  • PREFERRED: CAADC or Development Plan candidate.
  • Experience: Working with youth, individuals with co-occurring disorders, and trauma-informed care approaches.

Skills

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Proficient computer skills.

Other Requirements

  • Valid Michigan driver’s license.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Status: Part-time (up to 32 hours per week).
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule; ability to work varying days of the week preferred.

Compensation

  • $75–$115 per session

  • Health insurance available after 90 days of employment (pro-rated for staff maintaining 300 hours per quarter).
