About the role
The Behavioral Health Therapist – Clinical position requires a licensed LPC, LMFT, or equivalent with clinical expertise to provide psychosocial assessments and develop/implement a plan of care/treatment plan for patients. This role collaborates with patients, families, healthcare providers, insurers, and community resources to address patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Expertly applies trauma-informed care to build strong patient relationships, interpret behaviors, and respond effectively to patient needs.
- Conducts psychosocial assessments and provides psychotherapeutic interventions in line with the treatment plan.
- Administers assessment tools to screen for behavioral health symptoms and diagnoses.
- Identifies patients at risk for delays, extended stays, readmission, or complex discharge needs and collaborates with care providers to find solutions.
- Manages the discharge planning process, screens patient needs, develops discharge plans, and coordinates with internal and external services for post-treatment care.
- Maintains productivity standards and expectations.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation in the medical record, adhering to departmental standards to ensure effective communication with the care team.
- Satisfies all Intermountain Health requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling or related field from an accredited program (degree will be verified).
- Current State Licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Positive driving motor vehicle (DMV) record, proof of current automobile insurance coverage, and a copy of a valid and current Colorado driver's license.
- Ability to adjust work schedule based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $35.60 - $54.93.
