Outpatient Surgery Coordinator RN
About the role
As a Clinical Surgery Coordinator RN, you will utilize your knowledge from biological, physical, and social sciences to assist the Manager in ensuring the effective delivery of nursing care. You will support the coordination of surgical services, optimize patient flow, and ensure adherence to best practices in the surgical environment, contributing to high standards of patient safety and care quality. Strong clinical judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills are essential to facilitate seamless surgical operations and support the nursing team efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating the O.R. schedule.
- Consult in a variety of patient care situations requiring advanced competency and knowledge.
- Serve as a clinical resource for problem solving and assist staff with patient‑related issues and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other departments and multiple patient care services such as Post‑Anesthesia Care, Biomed, Facilities Engineering, and Anesthesia to facilitate case progression and ensure special requirements and quality nursing care for the patient.
- Serve as a role model and assist in developing staff competence in the delivery of nursing care based on national professional standards and Perioperative Services policies and procedures.
- Identify non‑compliance and demonstrate correct application of hospital policies and procedures; refer to the Policy and Procedure Manual as necessary for problem‑solving.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of operating room experience, upon hire.
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and Basic Life Support – CPR, within 14 days.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Pay
$39.18 – $58.28 per hour
