Outpatient Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Administers complex diagnostic tests and evaluations of speech, language and swallow disorders
• Analyzes results of diagnostic and/or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and/or modify subsequent treatment programs
• Provides clinical speech-language pathology services—assessment and planning
• Develops or contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care
• Provides counseling and/or feedback to patients and/or family members regarding patient's care through team meetings and/or direct contact
• Maintains valid and reliable records of patient procedures, progress and/or recommendations, and documents timely per department policy
• Selects and applies current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient speech/language/swallow rehabilitation services
• Serves as resource consultant to other clinicians in respective specialty area
• Attends required meetings and participates positively
• Is accountable for information presented
• Performs duties as needed that are not generally associated with normal job functions

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology with Certified Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) as issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Licensed (or licensure eligible) as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina
• One (1) years of clinical experience working in Speech Language Pathology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
