Outpatient Rehabilitation Psychologist -SHARE Military Initiative

About the role

The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia, is recruiting for a full-time, on-site outpatient Rehabilitation Psychologist with our SHARE (Shaping Hope and Recovery Excellence) Military Initiative.

Responsibilities

• Active interdisciplinary team participation
• Providing rehabilitative services for veterans, concussion patients, and their families/caregivers, which may include individual, group, and family therapy/interventions
• Affirmative assessments
• Consultations
• Education

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-approved program in Clinical Psychology
• APA-accredited internship completion
• Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year postdoctoral fellowship/residency, or more than 5 years clinical work experience with similar military patient populations
• Experience working in outpatient medical settings and with interdisciplinary treatment teams is preferred
• Board certified or eligible for board certification in Rehabilitation, Health, or Clinical Psychology is preferred
• Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia

Qualifications

• Specialty training in rehabilitation, health, or neuropsych psychology
• Psychological assessment experience
• Interdisciplinary treatment team experience

Skills

• Proficiency in working with military or veteran populations
• Mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, concussions, substance misuse, and military trauma issues
