About the role

Step into a fulfilling role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Foundation Health Partners (FHP) Behavioral Health Clinic, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health services. In this position, you will conduct initial evaluations and provide medication management for both new and established patients, including initial diagnoses and ongoing treatment planning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and provide medication management for patients.
  • Provide ongoing treatment planning and manage medication regimens.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
  • Document patient care in electronic health records (EHR).

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of clinical care and patient treatment as normally obtained through the completion of master’s degree in nursing.
  • Must be approved to practice as an Adult NP (ANP), Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (APMHNP), or Family Psychiatric & Mental Health NP (FPMHNP), by the State Board of Nursing by proof of license/certification.
  • Requires current RN license in state of practice.
  • Must be certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner.
  • Requires personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the state board of nursing.
  • Depending on business need/area of focus, this position may require graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program, as well as a current NRP certification.

Qualifications

  • DNP or PhD preferred.
  • Current BLS certification preferred.
  • Previous relevant experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay

$163,260 starting base salary, with potential for adjustment based on experience. Includes a $40k sign-on bonus.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, outpatient clinic. 7 weeks Advanced Practice Resident (AOR) training, 2 weeks Continuing Medical Education (CME).
