Outpatient Pharmacist
About the role
The Pharmacist at MultiCare is responsible for providing prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services to patients, nurses, and physicians. This role involves dispensing medications, interpreting IV admixture orders, preparing nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations, supervising support personnel, and inspecting pharmaceutical supplies.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients
- Interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
- Supervise support personnel and assume responsibility for final check of all completed work
- Assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
- Provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care services
Requirements
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in settings such as hospital, retail, clinic or other
- Certified in BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association
