Job Summary
Specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases, serving as a primary care provider and managing both common illnesses and complex, chronic medical conditions. Provide daily care that includes diagnosing and treating acute and chronic adult diseases, performing preventive care, interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating complex medical scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases using patient history, symptoms, and test results.
- Provide preventive care, including physical examinations, lifestyle recommendations, and immunizations.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (bloodwork, X-rays, EKGs).
- Coordinate care for complex medical scenarios, referring to subspecialists as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, health maintenance, and medication regimens.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient medical records.
- Adhere to AMA medical ethics and relevant specialty board standards.
- Leverage Physician Group resources to optimize operational efficiency.
Required Job Requirements
- Successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
- Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration.
- Obtain and maintain board certification or eligibility in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital.
- Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution.
- Doctorate MD or DO required.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required.
Pay
$250,000 - $300,000/year
