Outpatient Counselor Internship
Three Rivers Behavioral Health is a 136-bed treatment facility specializing in quality behavioral health and substance abuse services for adolescents and adults. We offer a full continuum of care through an integrated system of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. About the Role
This internship provides students the opportunity to complete hours for their Practicum and Internship under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor. Students will rotate through each Outpatient Program, including Psych Partial, Hospitalization Program, Trauma Recovery Program, Psych Intensive, Outpatient Program, and Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program. Interns will write integrative summaries and learn how our facility impacts the community.
Responsibilities
- Participate in treatment teams with a multidisciplinary approach
- Plan and facilitate Psychoeducational groups and therapeutic processing groups
- Assist with discharge planning and identify community resources for aftercare
