Outpatient Clinical Dietitian - Part Time_Days

About the role

Registered Dietitians make a healthy difference by joining our Outpatient Nutrition team at Sentara Louise Obici Hospital. Part Time 16 hours per week - Two 8-hour weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals or groups in our outpatient clinic consulting on nutrition assessment for a wide variety of acute and chronic disease states. Examples include diabetes, bariatric surgery, sports medicine, malnutrition, GI patients.
• Serves as a Sentara representative for health fairs, media outreach, and community presentations.
• Communicates and collaborates with providers and other members of the healthcare team for referrals and clinical diagnostic data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree (If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.)
• Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Verification statements required for those candidates awaiting RD credentialing.

Qualifications

• BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
