Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the role

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Child Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Inova Behavioral Health team. The position will be based at Inova Kellar Center, which has been providing behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and their families since 1991.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to patients aged 4-18 years old
• Conduct psychological and educational assessments
• Manage medication regimens, including those for opioid use disorder
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry
• Successful completion of an ACGME physician residency and child fellowship program
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Virginia DEA Credentialing
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors
• CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor Credentialing
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Qualifications

• Experience with managing Substance Use disorders (Prescribing Suboxone) or Board eligible/Certified in Addictions Psychiatry is preferred
