Job Summary and Qualifications

The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist in our PHP and IOP programs deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing clinical services in a multidisciplinary team focused on psychodynamic therapy, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education to patients admitted into the Outpatient Programs.

What you will do in this Role

• Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process groups, focused in skills/resilience training and evidence-based treatment.
• Develop treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
• Cookordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams.
• Assess environment and patient’s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.
• Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
• Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
• Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support-REQUIRED
• Master’s degree in a behavioral health related field - Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work- REQUIRED
• Minimum one (1) year experience working with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients. 3+ years of therapeutic experience - Strongly Preferred
• Psychotherapy experience - REQUIRED
• Advanced Licensure in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist) - REQUIRED
