Responsibilities
- Schedules employees and consults them on daily responsibilities, ensuring tasks are completed within the allotted timeframe.
- Controls production levels to minimize waste and advises the Chef on progress.
- Implements operations, standards, and procedures established by the Chef, including sanitation, tasting of products, and presentation.
- Ensures all food is prepared according to operation standards and interacts with guests to create memorable experiences.
- Aids other line employees with their daily responsibilities and strives to eliminate overproduction and over-purchasing.
- Maintains production and storage areas in compliance with city and state health department codes.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience working in a high volume kitchen required.
- At least one (1) year in a Sous Chef/leadership role preferred.
Work Environment
- Faced-paced with excessive noise.
- Exposure to casino-related environmental factors such as second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
