Position Summary
The Outdoor Technician will be responsible for upkeep of exterior resort areas. The position works closely with the Resort Appearance Manager, department supervisors, and janitorial team. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the resort remains safe, clean, and maintained for all resort guests and employees.
Essential Duties
- Aid with snow removal around the resort: shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding
- Perform landscaping duties such as: mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, weeding beds, shoveling, etc.
- Help with the setup, maintenance and break down of events
- Coordinate daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads
- Help with daily setup and breakdown of all lodge areas
- Empty trash bins, recycling bins, compost bins and pick up ground litter around the resort
- Prepare reports of daily logs and incidents
- Attend department safety meetings
- Manage and maintain vehicles, tools, and keep inventory of supplies
- Aid indoor custodial teams when business volumes require: cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash bins, painting, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required
- Experience with snow removal and/or landscaping is a plus
- Valid Driver's license
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Reliable attendance
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and/or as a member of a team
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
