Outdoor Recreation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Consigns to demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D&E service and Hospitality 4 guidelines.
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws, and company standards.
• Notifies management of guest or teammate accidents or injuries.
• Reports all safety risks and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Remains product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Processes firearm sales in compliance with federal and state law, including properly completing ATF Form 4473 and conducting background checks.
• Communicates company, department, and job specific information to teammates.
• Trains and develops teammates on their job performance providing immediate feedback and coaching as needed.
• Safely handles and operates case cutter, utility knife, forklift (with proper certification), pallet jack, compact baler, slicer, oven, fryer, knives, mixer, and other equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Woods Supermarket.
• Must become FSC Certified.
• Must pass a background check.

Physical Demands

• Regular performance of the following motions: Sit, Stand, Stoop, Squat, Bend, Reach, Push, Pull, Grip, Twist, Lift, Carry, Walk, and Kneel.

Safety

• The teammate will not use or be under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol, or other impairing substances on the job.
• The teammate will not create a direct threat to the health and safety of others on the job.
