Outboud Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Shipping department. This includes all product initially received through the warehouse and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Tracks performance and attendance for all personnel assigned to the shipping area. This position is also responsible for safety, organization, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Involvement and support with departmental process improvements

• Follow and maintain 7s Program and guidelines
• Any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Shipping experience in a fast paced distribution center environment
• Proven leadership experience
• Problem solving, decision making, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Safety knowledge
• Able to perform at a fast-paced packaging environment
• Able to work accurately under stressful conditions
• Able to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and different areas of the warehouse
• Able to follow instructions, processes, and procedures
• Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
