About the role
Under general direction of the Payroll / Timekeeping Manager (PSA), this position organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the statewide operation of the Public Safety Shared Services Timekeeping. It supervises staff, implements policy and procedures for the total administrative process of Timekeeping, provides administrative direction to field timekeeping staff, central payroll, personnel and Department staff, and receives and provides cross training.

Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration; requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization; requires one year of timekeeping and/or payroll experience; requires extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of public and business administration; requires working knowledge of the functions of state government and of the character of relationships between the executive branch with the other branches, and between the State and higher and lower levels of government; requires working knowledge of the principles of governmental accounting, program budgeting, personnel, statistics and procurement.
Qualifications
Requires a current grade from Central Management Services (CMS), Division of Examining and Counseling, to be deemed qualified and available for employment consideration.

Pay
Actual salary will be determined at the time of hire based on current salary plans and/or collective bargaining agreements, if applicable.
Schedule
Work Hours: 8:30a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon. - Fri.
