OTR Truck Driver (Over the Road Truck Driver)

About the role

Irish Express, Inc. is a small family-owned flatbed trucking company in the North East Kansas area with over 20 years of experience. This role involves hauling flatbed freight across the 48 contiguous states, with a significant portion of the miles covered in the Midwest region (covering Texas up to the Dakotas, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, etc.). Start times for shifts vary based on the route and load.

Responsibilities

- Pre- and post-trip truck inspections - Maintaining driver's daily logs - Delivering products and obtaining the signature of receipt - Completing all related delivery paperwork

Requirements

- Valid CDL with an acceptable driving record - Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) - Ability to pass a drug test - Must be at least 21 years old

Qualifications

- Experience driving flatbed trucks - Good communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

- Proficient in using GPS systems - Knowledgeable about local traffic laws and regulations
